Please join us at the University of Washington campus on Monday, August 10, 2020 for the WIAA's inaugural Women in Sport Summit. This one-day event was created to inspire, connect and guide women in the pursuit of coaching and athletic leadership.
The conference is geared toward female collegiate and high school Athletic Directors, Administrators, Coaches, Aspiring Leaders and Champions of Women in Sport. Throughout the day, attendees will:
- Hear from keynote speaker Lesle Gallimore, former UW Women's Head Soccer Coach
- Listen to two moderated panels made up of collegiate athletic personnel as well as high school athletic personnel
- Attend their choice of breakout sessions covering topics related to: strength/physical training specific to female athletes, nutrition and body image, mindfulness and resilience, designing equitable/inclusive programming, leadership for the female athlete and advocacy, mentorship and advancement within the workplace
- Take part in networking with fellow attendees
- Walk away with new connections, tools and support moving into the 2020-2021 school year
